EEscortpediaThe independent escort encyclopedia

Editorial Policy

Escortpedia publishes reference content about escorting and related subjects. Its purpose is to explain, document and contextualise, rather than promote any particular service, position or business.

Accuracy and verification

Material factual claims should be supported by reliable, identifiable sources. We distinguish established facts, attributed allegations, legal interpretations, opinion and first-hand accounts. When evidence is incomplete or contradictory, the article should say so rather than imply certainty.

Dates, legislation, policies, platform rules and market practices can change. Content should identify the relevant jurisdiction and time period where these distinctions matter.

Neutrality and fair representation

Articles should use measured language and proportionate coverage. Controversies should not be concealed, but neither should isolated claims be inflated into accepted fact. Stigmatising, moralising and promotional wording are inappropriate for ordinary encyclopaedia entries.

Different communities may use the same term in different ways. Where terminology is contentious, we explain the context and avoid endorsing derogatory labels.

Sourcing hierarchy

We prefer primary legal texts and official documents for what those documents state; reputable, independent secondary sources for interpretation and significance; and clearly attributed first-hand material for personal experience. A company's website can establish what it says about its services but is not independent evidence of its reputation or importance. See sources guidance.

People, agencies and notability

An agency or individual does not qualify for an independent article simply because it exists, requests a listing or purchases a subscription. Substantial coverage in credible, independent sources is stronger evidence of editorial relevance than self-published promotional material. Entries about living people require special care. Unsupported allegations, intimate details, private addresses and identifying information that could create safety risks must not be published.

Conflicts of interest

Authors and contributors should disclose relevant financial, employment, ownership or personal interests. Proposed edits by interested parties are assessed as suggestions, not instructions. Editors may reject promotional framing or seek independent corroboration.

Commercial separation

Editorial coverage is not for sale. Sponsored content and paid link placements must be identifiable and must not determine the inclusion, tone or ranking of supposedly neutral encyclopaedia content. Paid outgoing links should use suitable link attributes, ordinarily rel="sponsored". See link placement policy.

Source acceptance and hyperlink authorisation are separate decisions. All user-submitted external hyperlinks are restricted by default, including citations, references, biographies, agency websites and metadata. An editor may accept evidence without providing a clickable link. Free editorial hyperlinks require an independent, reasoned approval; payment activates placement capacity rather than editorial approval. Editors cannot approve their own external-link requests.

Changes to an approved destination, anchor, placement or content revision require renewed validation and review. Unsafe or materially changed destinations may be suspended, with an audit history. Temporary network failures do not erase editorial records or automatically revoke previously verified references.

Corrections, challenges and removals

We may correct, annotate, update or remove content when a credible concern is identified. Requests should specify the URL, disputed passage, reason and supporting material. A disagreement alone does not require removal, and an organisation cannot demand favourable coverage. Privacy, safety, intellectual-property and legal requests may warrant restricted access while they are considered.

AI-assisted material

Tools may assist research or drafting, but fabricated references, quotations or experiences are unacceptable. Factual statements and cited sources must be checked before publication. We do not present generated text as first-hand testimony.

Editorial discretion

Escortpedia may reject contributions, revise headlines, decline links and reorganise articles to protect quality and reader trust. These policies apply equally to unpaid and paying contributors.
