Media Guidelines
Images and other media can help explain terminology, historical developments and organisations, but visual material must be relevant, lawful and respectful of the people depicted.
Editorial relevance
Media should serve a clear informational purpose. Decorative imagery must not imply that it shows a named person, specific agency, historical event or location unless that identification is accurate and supported. Avoid sensationalistic or misleading stock imagery.
Consent, age and safeguarding
Do not submit sexual images involving minors, material depicting abuse, non-consensual intimate content or images sourced from private accounts without permission. Everyone shown in adult-oriented imagery must be an adult, and the contributor must have the necessary rights and any required permissions. Do not share private identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information to establish age through ordinary editorial submissions.
Copyright and attribution
Only submit images, video, audio or illustrations you own or are authorised to license. Include creator credit, origin, date when relevant, licence or permission details and any restrictions on reuse. A watermark or attribution is not a substitute for a licence. See copyright and reuse.
Accuracy and alterations
Captions should describe what is actually shown and explain relevant context. Disclose substantial compositing, staged representations or AI-generated imagery where readers might otherwise mistake it for documentary evidence. Do not use synthetic or edited imagery to impersonate a real person or create misleading evidence.
Privacy and safety
Avoid exposing home addresses, private locations, clients, uninvolved bystanders or other identifying details that could cause harm. Public availability alone does not justify republishing sensitive photographs.
Technical quality and accessibility
Prefer clear, reasonably compressed files suited to the article. Supply descriptive alternative text for informative images and captions when necessary for context. Avoid excessive overlays, unreadable text within graphics and autoplaying media without appropriate controls.
Submission and review
Send media proposals to hi@escortpedia.org, ideally with a link to the intended article and a description of the rights held. Do not send intimate imagery or sensitive documents by unsolicited email. Escortpedia may decline, crop, replace or remove media for accuracy, accessibility, editorial quality, rights or safety reasons.
