SWitter is a colloquial term for the massive, highly active network of sex workers on the social media platform Twitter (now X). Following the devastating passage of FOSTA-SESTA and the destruction of platforms like Backpage, SWitter became the primary digital hub for an Independent Escort to advertise to a Client, share a Bad Date List, organize for Decriminalization, and build community solidarity to combat Burnout.
